The rest of the complex will have four floors. Each floor will have ministerial offices and committee rooms. The first floor will have a dining room for Members of Parliament, VVIP and visitors.

It will also have a central hall. In addition to being earthquake proof, the new building will be environmentally friendly and consume significantly less energy. “The project will be completed on time in 2022 and the winter session will take place here,” said Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.

The government said the new parliament building is a necessity in the 21st century. The Govind Ballabh Pant statue, currently located between Raisina Road and Red Cross Road, will be moved to GB Pant Marg as the new building will require more space.
The union’s housing and urban affairs secretary, Durga Shankar Mishra, told TOI that all the details were worked out during the planning of the building. “The four national symbols will find a place in the building.
