The NEET 2020 result will be declared on October 16


NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Monday ordered the National Testing Agency (NTA) to declare the 2020 National Cum Income Eligibility (NEET) Result UG on October 16. The supreme court also said that students, who were unable to appear at NEET UG 2020 due to COVID-19 or being trapped in containment zones, will be given the opportunity to appear in the test on October 14.

The National Cum Income Eligibility Test (NEET) was conducted smoothly amid strict precautions in light of the COVID-19 pandemic on September 13 at the established time in a safe and healthy atmosphere following all instructions and warnings sincerely.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 85-90 percent of 15.97 lakh candidates appear for the NEET 2020 exam. Candidates who missed exams after testing positive for COVID-19 will have another chance to take the exam on October 14, 2020.

NEET is the only entrance exam for admission to medical and dental universities in India. This year, the NEET UG 2020 cap is expected to be higher, as the number of people taking the exam was higher, students had more time to prepare, and the exam was comparatively easy.
