The man from Telangana who built the statue of Donald Trump and worshiped him dies of a heart attack

Bussa Krishna, a 33-year-old man from Telangana, who made headlines by turning his puja room into a temple for the President of the United States, Donald Trump and later made a statue of him, died of a heart attack in her parents’ home in Toopran in Medak district on Sunday afternoon, family members said.

According to members of his family, Krishna collapsed while having a cup of tea. He was rushed to a local hospital in Toopran, where doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.

“He felt depressed for the past two weeks after learning that Trump and Melania had tested positive for Covid-19. But he was healthy and had no prior medical complications, “his cousin Vivek told reporters.

Krishna first made headlines in 2018 by installing a photograph of Trump in his puja room and worshiping it every day along with other Hindu gods at his home in the Konne village of the Bachannapet block in the Jangaon district.

Last year, he had built a six-foot statue of Trump in front of his house and had been holding regular puffs and showered it with milk. He posted posters and stickers of the President of the United States all over his house and had written graffiti praising Trump on the walls. He used to wear shirts with Trump’s name on it.

Because of his madness for the president of the United States, he had earned the nickname Trump Krishna in his hometown.

It was just last week that Krishna released a one-minute video of him crying for Trump and praying for his speedy recovery from the disease.

Earlier, Krishna said that he very much wanted Trump to return to power in the presidential election.

Krishna, who had dropped out of school, had taken up farming on his two-acre land in the village, while his parents had moved to Toopran a couple of years ago. His wife died last year while giving birth to a boy.

Krishna began worshiping the US President after Srinivas Kuchibhotla, a state software engineer, was assassinated by a US Navy veteran in an alleged act of hate crime in February 2017.

“The incident hurt me a lot. I thought that the only way the President of the United States and his people could understand the greatness of the Indians was to show them our love and affection. That is why I began to worship Trump in the hope that prayers would reach him one day, ”Krishna had said.
