The judicial custody of Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik extends until October 20 | Hindi Movie News


The judicial custody of Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik has been extended until October 20 by the NDPS Special Court. According to Times Now, judicial custody is extended every 14 days and her custody ended today. Rhea and Showik had approached Superior Court to request bail and the order is expected to arrive tomorrow. The High Court has reserved the order, if the court approves bail, Rhea and Showik will be released.

During the previous custody extension, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had gone to the jail to record Showik’s statement. Rhea Chakrabroty was arrested by the NCB on September 9, in connection with a drug-related investigation that arose from the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput. Previously, the NCB had arrested her brother Showik Chakraborty, as well as Sushant’s personal employees Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant.

Several Bollywood celebrities have been campaigning for Rhea’s release. Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha tweeted today: “That girl has been in jail for a month. Seriously guys !!! ”, Responding to the same as Swara Bhasker shared,“ RELEASE #RHEACHAKRABORTY ”.
