Uddhav Thackeray engaged in a war of words regarding the reopening of places of worship earlier this week.
“I have read the letter. He made a passing reference. However, I also feel that he should have been more moderate in his choice of words,” Shah said in an interview with a media publication.
Koshyari had questioned Thackeray’s decision to keep places of worship closed while the state Unlock 5.0. In a forcefully worded letter, he wrote: “I wonder if he is getting some divine premonition to keep putting off reopening of places of worship over and over again or has he gone ‘secular’, a term he hated.”

However, Thackeray was quick to reply, adding that he did not need a certificate of Hindutva from no one. “Do you consider opening temples like Hindutva and not opening them as secularism? So what about the Constitution in which you were sworn in as governor? Secularism is a core of the Constitution. Do you not follow the Constitution?” The CM replied. .
As Maharashtra joined Unlocking 5.0, the state government allowed gyms and fitness centers to reopen from October 25. It also allowed restaurants and bars to offer dinner services at 50 percent capacity from October 5.

On Saturday, Uddhav Thackeray, Maharashtra’s chief minister, announced that gyms and fitness centers will be allowed to reopen from Dussehra, to be held on October 25 this year. The CM further added that these centers must adhere to the SoPs.
