The ministry
of Road and Highway Transport (MoRTH) had issued notices dated
March 30, 2020, June 9, 2020 and August 24, 2020 in relation to the extension
of
validity
of
documents related to
Motor Vehicle Law, 1988 and Central
Motor
Vehicle Rules, 1989.
“The Ministry of the Union
of Road and Highway Transport has expanded the
validity
of vehicular
documents
I like it DL, RC,
permits etc
until
March
31, 2021 to light
of need to prevent spread
of COVID-19. The Ministry today issued a directory for the states and administrations of the Union Territory in this regard, “said a statement from MoRTH.
Previously through various notifications, it was reported that the
validity
of aptitude, permit (all types), license, registration or any other document (s) in question can be treated as valid
until December
31, 2020.
The latest ad reads: “Taking into account the need to prevent the spread
of COVID-19, it is also noted that the
validity
of all
of Mentioned above
documents can be treated as valid
until
March
31, 2021. This covers all
documents whose
validity has expired since February 1, 2020 or would expire on
March
31, 2021 “.
Enforcement authorities are advised to deal with such
documents valid
until
March
31, 2021, MoRTH said, adding that “this will help citizens take advantage of transportation-related services, while maintaining social distancing.”
“All states and territories in the union have been asked to implement this notice in letter and spirit so that citizens, carriers, and various other organizations operating at this difficult time during the COVID-19 pandemic are not harassed. Or face difficulties, “the statement said.
