The Minister of Education, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, would return to work to interact with students on December 3 at 12 noon. The Minister will discuss upcoming competitive exams, including JEE 2021, NEET 2021, and various board exams at next week’s webinar. Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank took his official Twitter username to make the announcement. He wrote: “Dear students, I understand that 2020 has not been the best year for you and you have been concerned about your future. I will be meeting with you live on December 3 to discuss the next competition and the board # exams. Share your concerns / suggestions with me using #EducationMinisterGoesLive. “
This year, Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal attended various webinars to discuss various topics including NEP, NEET, JEE exam dates, remaining CBSE exam dates, among others. The webinars were held to interact with students, teachers, parents, etc.
While speaking to TOI, the Minister of Education said: “Taking exams is nothing less than a challenge. Despite the uncertainty due to the COVID19 pandemic, it is crucial to take board exams as well as entrance exams for admission to institutions of higher education. I will have an interaction with parents, students and teachers in this regard and the exams will only take place based on the result of the interaction. “
In the statement released by the Ministry after a high-level review meeting on Thursday, he mentioned that a campaign would be launched to seek input from students, parents and teachers on how and when to take the exams next year.
Meanwhile, the Minister has hinted at the revision of the syllabus for the NEET 2021 and JEE Main 2021 exams, among other things after the high-level meeting. The Union Education Minister shared that he has asked the National Testing Agency, NTA, to review the current situation and share a revised syllabus for the various competitive exams.
