The army will not be deployed. You and I are the soldiers in the fight against the coronavirus, ”Thackeray said in his online address to the people.
He said additional Union government security personnel can be sought if necessary so that Mumbai Police personnel get a breather from dealing with the crisis.

The prime minister also admitted that while the spread of the coronavirus was contained, Maharashtra has yet to break the chain of infection.
