PV Gopalan: a guiding light for Kamala

PV Gopalan, born in 1911 in a village in the Thiruvarur district of Tamil Nadu, began his career in the Public Administration of India in the 1930s and traveled across the country serving as Under Secretary of the Government of India in the Ministry of Transport (Highway Wing), Under Secretary to the Government of India in the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Rehabilitation.
