Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced on Tuesday that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will participate in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections in 2022. Kejriwal promised to bring a clean policy to the state which has 403 seats in the Assembly. “Some people will ask what we will bring to UP. We will bring a clean policy. That is what many parties could not give the state, ”Kejriwal said.

In a video on Twitter, Kejriwal said that Uttar Pradesh’s development has been held back by dirty politics and corrupt leaders there. “The UP political parties stabbed people in the back; politics in the state lacks honesty of intent, “he added.
“People will wonder why we are competing in a state with so many political parties. Many parties have governed Uttar Pradesh but they have only filled their coffers, ”said the AAP coordinator.
Kejriwal said that people in Uttar Pradesh now wonder why they don’t have access to mohalla clinics and free power like the people in Delhi do. “Why does a person living in Kanpur have to come to Delhi for university? Why does someone have to bring their elderly parents to Delhi for treatment in Gorakhpur?” He further asked.
