A Forest of Dean boy is moving people with his musical tribute to NHS heroes.
After people applaud outside their homes every Thursday in appreciation of the healthcare workers battling the coronavirus, Connor Edwards does a little more playing his bugle.
The 12-year-old boy’s performance in front of his house in the town of Milkwall near Coleford last week had his neighbors excited looking for his fabrics.
They were touched by the way he played the Judy Garland song Somewhere Over the Rainbow and the hymn Amazing Grace.

His mother Lyn Edwards said her son would be doing the same thing every Thursday night and that he would be dressed in his Scout uniform this week as he is a member of the first Clearwell and Sling Scout Group.
She said: “This week is also a Scout initiative on St. George’s Day, so he will wear his Scout uniform and play. He is very passionate about his Scouting, his country and helping others. “
She added: “It is very moving. When he plays, all the people are crying. And there is a nurse and a midwife who also live on our street.
“I think it is brilliant to show your appreciation.”
Connor, who learned to play the bugle when he was at Ellwood Elementary School and now attends John Kyrle High School in Ross-on-Wye, said: “It is a very good thing because people appreciate it.”
The young man, who is a member of the Bream Silver Band, added: “Music is a lovely gift to give someone, it shows that you care.”
