Taapsee Pannu’s latest film, Thappad, failed to complete his career in theaters that closed in the midst of a coronavirus outbreak. When the movie was released on the Amazon Prime streaming platform, Taapsee revealed that the particular scene of his slap was filmed in more than 7 takes.
Sharing the report given by director Anubhav Sinha prior to the filming of the film, Taapsee wrote in a note on Instagram: “Anubhav sir had clearly mentioned long before we started filming for this film, that this slap will be real and I said that I would have it. ” no other way. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Taapsee had spoken about the purpose behind the film. She said, “We are trying to question these things,” ek gaal pe thappad maaro, dusra gaal aage kar do “and” thappad se nahi lagta “with our film and we want the audience to start questioning them too.”
