Tenet’s launch date in India is set for December 4

Tenet will launch on December 4 in India, Warner Bros. India announced, with a short video featuring cast member Dimple Kapadia. Christopher Nolan’s time-doubling epic spy movie was expected to open in November in India, following the reopening of cinemas across the country amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but it has been delayed a bit. But hey, we finally have an India release date for Tenet. The December 4 date is approximately 13 weeks after Tenet’s international launch, in late August.

“The wait is finally over,” says Kapadia in the Tenet India launch date announcement video. “I am very pleased to announce the release of Tenet by Christopher Nolan on December 4th in all cinemas in India. It has been an honor for me to be associated with this project. The movie has some spectacular action sequences, twists and turns that you can best enjoy only on the big screen. So see you all there on December 4, in theaters. “

In addition to Kapadia, Tenet’s cast includes John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Clémence Poésy, Martin Donovan, Fiona Duorif, Yuri Kolokolnikov, Himesh Patel, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Denzil Smith, Kenneth Branagh, and Michael Caine. Nolan wrote and directed Tenet. Nolan is also a producer on Tenet alongside his wife Emma Thomas. Tenet filmed in seven countries on three continents, including India, Denmark, Estonia, Italy, Norway, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Here’s the official synopsis for Tenet, from Warner Bros. Pictures:

John David Washington is the new star of Christopher Nolan’s original sci-fi action show “Tenet.” Armed with a single word, Principle, and fighting for the survival of the entire world, the Protagonist travels through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time. Do not travel in time. Investment.

Tenet will premiere on December 4 in theaters across India, less than two weeks before its release on Blu-ray and digital platforms internationally.
