New Delhi: It will teach the Mamata Banerjee police a lesson in constitutional propriety, Tejasvi Surya said after BJP MPs were mistreated and said it will file a motion for violation of privilege.

Surya said that Mamata police officers at the Jarasanko Police Station abused three BJP MPs who had come there to file an FIR against a crude bomb attack on BJYM workers.

On his Twitter, Surya said that together with MPs Nisith Pramanik, Jyotirmay Singh Mahato will present a motion for violation of privileges against these “errant and arrogant” officials.

“We waited more than 2 hours, until midnight, for the police to register the FIR about our complaint. Instead, they mistreated 3 members of Parliament. We will file a motion for violation of privilege and teach the Mamata police a lesson in constitutional propriety, ”Surya said in his tweet.

He also shared a video clip from inside the police station that read: “The police stations have been converted into TMC party offices in Mamata’s Bengal. They don’t even register FIRs for recognizable crimes. Total breakdown of the law “.

In another tweet, newly elected BJP president Yuva Morcha said that young people from Bengal are gathering in front of the Jorasanko police station in large numbers.

“The police have two options: present FIR in accordance with the law or remove their uniform and hold the flag of the TMC party,” he said.

On Thursday, the WB Police carried out a lathicharge against BJP activists and leaders during their march to the secretary of state. In condemning the attack, the BJP deputy called it a “black day because the rule of law has been assassinated” in the state.

While BJP State Chairman Dilip Ghosh alleged that TMC members dressed as policemen dropped bombs at BJP cadres, TMC accused the saffron field of trying to “unleash anarchy and communal unrest” in the state.
