Patna:
Opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav’s promise of 10 lakh jobs and the sharp response from Chief Minister Nitish Kumar have fueled a harsh back and forth in the campaign for the Bihar elections that begin next week.
Yesterday, Nitish Kumar commented at a rally that the promise of his rival Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) was impossible and that no one in the world can deliver.
“Where will he get the money to pay wages? From the same scam he’s in jail for? Or will he print fake money,” the Chief Minister scoffed at the rally in Gopalganj, without naming Tejashwi Yadav’s father , Lalu Yadav, who is serving a jail sentence in a corruption scandal involving the fraud of government funds destined to feed livestock.
Nitish Kumar also hinted that Tejashwi Yadav was inexperienced. “I see this promise about jobs, but people don’t have the knowledge or experience (to fulfill this promise). Have you seen anything like this all over the world? Why only 10 lakh? All,” he said.
Tejashwi Yadav, who plans to address a record 12 meetings today, replied: “I was Senior Vice Minister. If I am so inexperienced and immature, why are the BJP leaders chasing me with 20 helicopters? I am a lonely man and they are so many. What is your compulsion? “
The 31-year-old RJD leader also took up Nitish Kumar’s comments ridiculing his job promise. “The Chief Minister is physically and mentally tired. After his 15-year tenure, he wonders where the money is for the jobs. Rs 30 billion is Bihar’s budget, where is the money? It all went in 60 scams under his supervision. His Jal – Jeevan-Hariyali’s policy has been allocated 24 billion rupees. Everything is turning to corruption. He spent 500 million rupees to light up his face in advertisements. Then he makes this ridiculous comment about where he is. money to give jobs, “said Tejashwi Yadav.
“Nitish Kumar also said that there is no ocean near Bihar so there are no industries or factories. Winning and losing is part of the game, but this Chief Minister has lost it mentally and physically. There is a provision in the budget for 4.5 lakh of jobs that are vacant. And 5.5 lakh more jobs are needed for Bihar’s progress, according to Niti Aayog. If there is the will, it is possible. “
Tejashwi Yadav’s promise of “10 lakh jobs” has also been mocked by BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, who said: “I heard that Tejashwi Yadav will employ 10 lakh people … They will give the request for 10 lakh of Nationally made pistols and Bihar We will see kidnapping and looting again. “
Bihar votes for a new assembly of 243 members on October 28, November 3 and 7. The results will be announced on November 10.
