So Hindutva fans have called for a boycott of@JewelleryJewelleryfor highlighting Hindu-Muslim unity through this beautiful advertisement. If the Hindu-Muslim “ekatvam” bothers you so much, why don’t you boycott the world’s longest-surviving symbol of Hindu-Muslim unity: India? pic.twitter.com/cV0LpWzjda

Congressional MP Shashi Tharoor said: “So Hindutva fanatics have called for a boycott of @TanishqJewelry? To highlight Hindu-Muslim unity through this beautiful advertisement. If Hindu-Muslim” ekatvam “bothers them so much, Why not boycott for a longer time the surviving symbol of Hindu-Muslim unity in the world – India? “
Clearly, women on Twitter are much sharper in dealing with trolls than @TataEmpresas @JewelleryJewellery. You couldn’t stand the heat for a day and you fell into the mob of hate. As for the bigots, they will never be able to defeat what India really stands for: plurality and diversity.

When launching the Ekatvam range, Titan highlighted the theme of Unity. “Each jewel in #EkatvamByTanishq is meticulously crafted using art forms from across the country. Over 1,000 Karigars have spent countless hours creating these jewels that are a captivating ode to the beauty of unity.”
Former BJP ideologue Sudheendra Kulkarni said: “The withdrawal of #Tanishq is a victory for intolerance. Each of those victories will make them more intolerant. We must safeguard the pluralism of India.”
Media expert Raj Nayak said: “This is really sad! How can a strong brand like House of Tata’s Chicken’s Tanishq rely on trolls? In fact, trolls were helping you get more visibility for your ad.” . –IANS
