Actress Taapsee Pannu has received support from her colleagues in Bollywood after the income tax department raided her home earlier this week. Now her boyfriend, former badminton player Mathias Boe, has tweeted about the stress this has caused his parents.
On Twitter, Mathias tweeted: “I find myself in a bit of confusion. Representing Flag of India for the first time as the coach of some great athletes, meanwhile, the IT department is raiding Taapsee’s homes at home, putting her unnecessary family, especially his parents. Man shrugging. @KirenRijiju please do something. “
Rijiju responded to the tweet on Friday, asking Mathias to focus on his “professional duties” as the matter is not his domain. “The law of the land is supreme and we must abide by that. The issue is beyond their domain and my domain. We must fulfill our professional duties in the best interest of Indian Sports,” Rijiju tweeted.
Mathias is a former Danish Shuttler, who is currently with the Indian badminton players in Switzerland for the Swiss Open.
Income tax officials carried out raids on Wednesday at the Mumbai residence of filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, Pannu, and film producer Vikas Bahl.

Earlier, Swara tweeted: “Thank you tweet to @taapsee, who is an amazing girl with courage and conviction that is rare to see today … Stay strong warrior!”
Taapsee and Anurag, both known for expressing their opinions on a variety of issues, were filming in Pune and are believed to have been questioned by tax detectives as part of the preliminary questioning that takes place during the raids.
