Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Shivanand Tiwari said on Tuesday that Sushil Kumar Modi was “isolated” from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) because he did not allow other leaders to rise up and was hungry for media attention.
Sushil Modi’s role had become less of a BJP and more of Nitish Kumar’s associate. I think that’s why BJP cut it this time. He was not allowing other BJP leaders to rise up. He used to speak on all subjects on a daily basis and could not live without appearing in newspapers / television, “Tiwari told the ANI news agency.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sushil Modi was removed from Bihar Prime Minister Nitish Kumar’s cabinet and replaced as Senior Deputy Minister by his party, having held office since 2005. Tarkishore Prasad and Renu Devi have been elected as vice ministers of the state.
“I have no animosity towards him, he is like my little brother. But his personality used to reflect a lack of depth. I think this is the reason why the BJP leadership did not give him a state cabinet position this time, ”Shivanand Tiwari added.
The NDA secured a majority in the recently concluded Bihar Assembly elections of 243 members by winning 125 seats, of which the BJP won 74 seats and the JD (U) won 43 seats. On Monday, JD (U) head Nitish Kumar, in the presence of Union Interior Minister Amit Shah and BJP head JP Nadda, was sworn in as prime minister for the fourth consecutive term.
