Actor Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the Office of Narcotics Control on Tuesday in a drug case related to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. NCB Deputy Director (Operations) KPS Malhotra said: “Rhea has been arrested and due process of informing the family has been completed.”
Sushant’s sister, Shweta Singh Kirti, shared a screenshot from a news channel showing Rhea’s arrest and wrote in the caption: “God is with us (sic).” Ankita Lokhande took to the comment section and posted heart emojis.

Bollywood celebrities such as Sonam Kapoor, Anurag Kashyap, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, Vidya Balan, Radhika Apte, Shibani Dandekar, Reema Kagti, Neeraj Ghaywan, Dia Mirza, Neha Dhupia, Huma Qureshi, Angad Bedi and many others shared the same message from Rhea Chakraborty’s support on her social media identifiers.
The message read: “Roses are red, violets are blue. Let’s end the patriarchy, you and me. “
Producer Nidhi Parmar, who has been a vocal supporter of Rhea Chakraborty, took to Twitter and wrote, “Congratulations to everyone who chose to remain silent !! Rhea Chakraborty was questioned by NCB for three days. NCB has not clarified whether Rhea was arrested for drug use or for being part of a WhatsApp group involved in buying and selling drugs.
