“Based on the statements of Dipesh Sawant, home aide to the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and the digital evidence compiled by the NCB, it is clear that Sawant is an active member of the drug syndicate connected to high society personalities and vendors of drugs, “said the NCB. .
Sawant was arrested by the NCB on Saturday night in connection with the drug investigation linked to the late actor’s death. Earlier in the day, actress Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik and Rajput house manager Samuel Miranda were taken into NCB custody until September 9.
Rhea is the main defendant in the 34-year-old actor’s death case. The case is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on money laundering charges and the NCB.
The NCB launched an investigation into the case after receiving a communication from the DE, in which there were discussions related to the consumption, acquisition, use and transport of drugs in connection with the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput.
Rajput, 34, was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14.
