Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister has called for a boycott of an upcoming film that seems inspired by the late actor’s death. Shweta Singh Kirti took to Twitter to denounce the movie, titled Shashank.

The posters featured Arya Babbar and Rajveer Singh front and center with missing puzzle pieces around their faces. Words such as depression, suicide, murder, and nepotism were mentioned on the poster. A couple of them were even misspelled.
Earlier, another movie about Sushant’s death was announced. Titled Suicide or Murder, it stars Sachin Tiwari, who looks like Sushant, as the lead.
However, according to the creators, the film is not a biographical film of the actor’s life, but is inspired by his life. The film is expected to begin filming in September in Mumbai and Punjab, and is expected to premiere on Christmas this year.

The film’s producer, Vijay Shekhar Gupta, told Indian Express: “Sushant Singh Rajput’s death by suicide was a shock to all of us, but it is not new. Many actors who come to the industry to achieve their dreams of succeeding here end up without getting a job. Many take this route and some continue to fight their entire lives. So, we wanted to tell a story of how small town actors struggle, who have no godparents in Bollywood. We will reveal other characters one by one. I can assure you that this movie will definitely unmask the true face of Bollywood connoisseurs. “
Susant was found dead in his apartment in Mumbai on June 14. It was reported that he had committed suicide. His death is being investigated by the Mumbai Police, the CBI, the Enforcement Directorate and the Office of Narcotics Control.
