The Bihar government decided to allow the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to take over the case due to these incidents, the Chief Minister said.

Some ruling party leaders in Maharashtra have alleged that the Bihar government politicized the actor’s death with an eye toward state elections scheduled for next month.
