Sushant Singh Rajput’s family lawyer says Rhea Chakraborty brought case against Priyanka so Mumbai police ‘can do some mischief’ – bollywood

Actor Rhea Chakraborty filed a case against Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Priyanka Singh on Monday. Now attorney Vikas Singh, who represents Sushant’s family in their case against Rhea, has responded to the latest development. The main defender called it a “clear attempt” by Rhea to keep the Mumbai police involved in the case, so they can “do some harm” and make sure that Sushant’s family does not receive justice.

Speaking to ANI, the lawyer said: “So this is a clear attempt to somehow keep the Mumbai Police alive in this matter so that they can do some harm and make sure that Sushant’s family does not receive justice in this affair”.

Rhea filed a complaint with the Mumbai police against Priyanka and others for acquiring a ‘false and illegal prescription’ for Sushant on June 8, so that she could have access to anxiety medication. She has requested that an FIR be filed against her.

“I have had a complaint lodged with me by Rhea Chakraborty at the Bandra police station. It is an effort to maintain the jurisdiction of the Mumbai police in this matter when SC said that complaints regarding the death of Sushant Singh Rajput will be investigated by CBI, “said Vikas Singh.

“If the Bandra police accept the complaint, it will be in violation of the Supreme Court order and therefore in contempt of court. If the Bandra police proceed with this, we will take the matter to the Supreme Court for contempt of court, ”he added, referring to a Supreme Court verdict last month, which ruled in favor of an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation. . The court said that “a fair, competent and impartial investigation is the need of the moment.”

Rhea filed her complaint on the basis of WhatsApp chats between Sushant and Priyanka that were leaked to the media. According to the chats, Priyanka got a prescription for Sushant from a family friend, Dr. Tarun Kumar from Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi. The prescription was for anti-anxiety medications.

Earlier, Vikas Singh had said that the Mumbai police “forced” Sushant’s family to sign written statements in Marathi, a language they did not understand. “The family has never given any statement that Sushant died by suicide. These statements were recorded by the Mumbai police in Marathi. The family also objected: “Please do not write in Marathi if you want us to sign.” They were forced to sign a written declaration in Marathi. They had no idea what was being written, “he said at a press conference last week.
