Three central agencies, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) and the Bureau of Narcotics Control (NCB), are currently investigating the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Rajput from various angles.
Chakraborty joined NCB’s investigation into the angle of the drug abuse case on Sunday. So far, the agency has arrested his brother Showik, Rajput’s house manager Samuel Miranda, and three other people in connection with the case. Chakrabortys’ attorney has said that neither brother has ever used drugs.

Rhea Chakraborty will come face to face with her brother Showik
The NCB issued a subpoena to Rhea early Sunday, after which she arrived at the agency’s office around 12 p.m. She will confront her brother Showik, who along with Miranda have been sent into central agency custody until September 9.
Rea ready to arrest, says lawyer
When Chakraborty joined the NCB investigation today, her attorney said she was ready to be arrested and had not even requested an advance bond.

‘Next in line is my daughter’: Rhea Chakraborty’s father issues statement
Chakraborty’s father, Indrajit, issued a statement Saturday, after his son’s arrest on Friday, saying his daughter Rhea was next in line.

Dipesh Sawant, Rajput domestic assistant, arrested
NCB also arrested Sawant on Saturday night in connection with the drug investigation. Sawant has been sent into NCB custody on September 9.
CBI visits Rajput house in Bandra with sister, staff
CBI officials investigating the case of Rajput’s death were seen at the actor’s home in Mumbai’s Bandra on Saturday morning along with his sister Meetu Singh and some staff members.
Rajput’s roommate Siddharth Pithani, cook Neeraj and house keeper Keshav were reportedly also present with them.
Mumbai police hide ‘something very big’: KK Singh’s lawyer
Following Showik and Miranda’s arrest by NCB, Sushant Singh Rajput’s family lawyer alleged that the Mumbai police were hiding “something very big.”
“The arrests by NCB demonstrate the family’s fear that there was something very big that the Mumbai police wanted to hide. Clearly, there are several angles in this case. The family expects more angles to emerge, ”Singh told the ANI news agency.
Arrests so far
While CBI and ED, investigating the actor’s death and the alleged money laundering angle respectively, have made no arrests so far, NCB has so far arrested seven people.
NCB has arrested Zaid Vilatra, Kaizan Ebrahim, and Abdel Basit Parihar for drug trafficking, in addition to Showik and Miranda, who were arrested under the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) on Friday.
