Actor Rhea Chakraborty in his bail statement has alleged that Sushant Singh Rajput doubted his sisters’ motivations. Rhea has said that the late actor believed her sisters weren’t worried about her sanity and were simply looking for her money.
Rhea is currently housed in Byculla Jail, after being arrested for procuring drugs for the late actor, whom she was dating at the time of her death on June 14. Her bail hearing will be held on Thursday, after today’s hearing was canceled heavy rains in Mumbai. Sushant’s family has also accused Rhea of inciting the actor’s suicide and embezzling her funds.
According to The Times of India, Rhea’s lawyer in her bail request said: “Sushant had routinely contacted her family to inform them of her bouts of depression and other problems, but Sushant’s family members did they seemed too concerned about it. Finally, in the third week of November 2019, her three sisters came to Mumbai and informed her that they would be taking her to Chandigarh for further treatment. The applicant (Rhea Chakraborty) did not interfere with her decision and was actually relieved to see her family members finally take an interest in her well-being and health. However, on November 26, 2019, Sushant called the Applicant and informed her that she would not be traveling to Chandigarh with her sisters as she doubted her motives and felt that they were only looking for her money. That same night, the three sisters left Sushant at the peak of her depression. “

In January, however, Sushant traveled to Chandigarh with one of her sisters. In an interview for India Today, Rhea had refuted the claim that Sushant had returned to Bombay from Chandigarh at her behest. She said: “In January, she went to meet her sister in Chandigarh but returned after two days. Maybe you didn’t like them and came back on your own. I didn’t even know she was coming back. “
Sushant’s US-based sister Shweta Singh Kirti had provided proof that she was always willing to go the extra mile for her brother and shared images of a ticket to India she had purchased for January. She wrote in a social media post that the actor returned to Mumbai abruptly because Rhea kept calling him. She wrote: “As Rhea mentioned in her interview, we don’t love our brother !! Yeah sure, that’s why I flew from the US to India in January as soon as I learned that Bhai is visiting Chandigarh and not keeping up well. I had to paralyze my business and leave my children behind! The worst part was that I couldn’t even meet my brother because when I arrived, Bhai had already left Chandigarh due to constant annoying calls from Rhea and some work commitments.
