The Office of Narcotics Control has registered a criminal case against Rhea Chakraborty. The NCB is investigating the angle of drugs in the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput. The NCB has also identified two men, Farookh Sheikh aka Farookh Batata and Bakul Chandalia, who are known to supply drugs in the Bollywood circle. The agency is more likely to question the two men in the case.
The NCB became involved in the Sushant Singh Rajput case after Rhea Chakraborty’s WhatsApp conversations with Samuel Miranda, Jaya Saha and Gaurav Arya were released by the Directorate of Execution. Gaurav Arya, a Goa-based hotelier, is being investigated today by the Emergency Department. The agency is also questioning another hotelier, Kunal Jani, about the case.

On August 26, the NCB filed a case under Sections 20, 22, 27 and 29 of the NDPS (Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances) Act. The NCB has also booked Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty and others, against whom the DE had prepared a case. And now, the agency has registered a criminal case against the actress.
On August 25, ED wrote to NCB asking them to investigate the angle of drugs in the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput. In an interaction with India Today, Rakesh Asthana, director of the Office of Narcotics Control, had confirmed the same. He had said: “We are also starting the investigation into the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput.”
Meanwhile, India Today accessed WhatsApp messages recovered from Rhea Chakraborty’s mobile phone to Jaya Saha, making it clear that Rhea was sporadically using drugs such as MDMA, marijuana, among others.
However, Rhea Chakraborty’s attorney said in a statement that she has never used drugs and is ready for a blood test at any time to prove the same.
Rhea Chakraborty is being questioned by the CBI for the fourth day in a row today. Her brother, Showik Chakraborty, is also being questioned in the case. On Sunday, Rhea was interrogated for 9 hours. Sushant’s sister, Meetu Singh, is also called by the agency. The CBI is likely to call Sushant’s other sister, Priyanka Singh, and her husband Siddharth, for questioning. The sisters are likely to share an interrogation with Rea. Rhea had previously alleged that Priyanka had sexually abused her.
