Sushant Singh Rajput case: Deepika Padukone leaves OCN office after 6 hours, questioning of Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan continues


Three Bollywood actors, including Deepika Padukone, were questioned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Saturday as part of its investigation into a drug case related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput in June this year, authorities said. .

Deepika Padukone is one of more than a dozen Bollywood people who have been questioned by the agency in the past two weeks. She had joined the probe in the morning.

The anti-drug agency arrested Rhea Chakraborty on September 8 for allegedly acquiring drugs for the Rajputs. Her brother Showik has also been arrested along with dozens of others. Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai residence on June 14.

Deepika padukone

Padukone was the first to arrive at NCB’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) office in the Ballard Estate area of ​​Mumbai. He arrived at 9.50am after receiving a summons earlier in the week while filming a movie in Goa.

Shraddha kapoor

Shraddha Kapoor arrived at the NCB zonal office around 12 pm to record her statement in the drug investigation related to the death of Rajput. The NCB investigation team is also recording their statement regarding the drug case related to the death of Rajput and the Bollywood drug nexus.

His name appeared during the questioning of those who were previously summoned by the investigation team. Shraddha Kapoor had worked with the Rajput.

Sara ali khan

He arrived at the NCB zonal office around 1pm. Her name appeared during the questioning of Rhea Chakraborty, who has been arrested by NCB in the drug case along with more than a dozen people, authorities said.

Sara was the Rajput co-star in the movie “Kedarnath”.

Karishma Prakash

Karishma Prakash from the talent management agency KWAN is also being questioned and confronted with Padukone about her individual statements on the matter. Prakash, a KWAN employee, has also been questioned in the past.

Prakash arrived for questioning shortly after Padukone arrived at the NCB guesthouse. She was interrogated for about seven hours on Friday. “Prakash arrived at the NCB guesthouse just before 11 am,” an official said, according to the PTI news agency.

PTI cited sources saying that Prakash’s WhatsApp chats included drug conversations with a ‘D’ and that the central agency wanted to know who this person was.

Others who have been questioned

NCB had called on Wednesday Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shradha Kapoor, Rakulpreet Singh, fashion designer Simone Khambatta and celebrity manager Shruti Modi on the matter. KWAN CEO Dhruv Chitgopekar was also questioned in the case earlier this week.

Rakul Preet Singh recorded his statement on Friday. She was interrogated for about four hours. Dharma Productions executive producer Kshitij Ravi was also questioned by the NCB on Friday.

The NCB team also obtained important information about the case during questioning of Rajput talent manager Jaya Saha, according to reports. Shruti Modi, the former business manager of the Rajput actor, has also been questioned by the NCB in the case in the past.

The case is being investigated by the three central agencies: the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Directorate of Enforcement and the NCB. All agencies are exploring different angles related to the case.

The NCB began its investigation after receiving an official communication from the Directorate of Execution (ED), in which there were several talks related to the consumption, acquisition, use and transport of drugs.

ED had registered a Compliance Case Information Report in the actor’s death case on July 31 after Rajput’s father, KK Singh, filed a FIR against Rhea Chakraborty in Bihar on July 28. The FIR presented by the Patna police was later transferred to CBI.
