Mumbai:
Sushant Singh Rajput was admitted to hospital in November 2019 after his manager, Shruti Modi, said he urgently needed treatment, one of the doctors who treated the actor in his final months told Mumbai police. In January this year, Rhea Chakraborty had asked the doctor to admit it again, but later said that the actor had decided not to do so and wanted to visit his sister in Chandigarh.
A statement from one of the two psychiatrists who treated Sushant Singh Rajput, which is part of CBI’s investigations into his June 14 death, reveals that he was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai in November.
The doctor who made the hospital arrangements told Mumbai police that he received a call from Shruti Modi on November 25 last year. He called from Sushant Singh Rajput’s phone and asked him to meet the actor. He called the same night and canceled the meeting, according to the doctor.
“On 11/27/2019, Miss Shruti Modi sent me a message on WhatsApp to make my appointment for the same afternoon at 3:00 pm,” said the doctor. She came to her clinic alone “and asked me to check and treat Mr. Sushant Singh Rajput and that he urgently needs treatment. Also, she asked if I could admit him if necessary,” said the doctor.
He said that he called Hinduja Health Care Hospital and consulted with doctors about the admission of Sushant Singh Rajput to a special private room. He also asked for confidentiality.
Sushant Singh Rajput was admitted the same day.
“After that, on the date 11/28/2019, around 9:00 am, during the Hinduja Health Care Hospital visit, I examined and met Sushant Singh Rajput for the first time. At that time, he told me things like he is not sleeping or has an appetite, he does not like anything in life now, he does not want to live and he is afraid all the time. On that, I mainly diagnosed the ailment Sushant Singh Rajput suffered to be depression and anxiety. He told me that he is experiencing these symptoms for the past 10 days, “the statement said.
“… Mr. Sushant Singh Rajput told me that he is experiencing symptoms of depression for the past 10 days, but I concluded that he has had depression for a long time, from the symptoms of the illness and the severity of the symptoms “.
The doctor said he had noted “evidence of severe anxiety plus depression and existential crisis” in Sushant Singh Rajput’s case document.
“It was evident from the words of Sushant Singh Rajput, that nothing is happening according to his expectations and that he is insecure. But, the reason seemed to be negative thoughts in his mind. No strong external reason for such feelings was seen in the examination. Therefore, it was a patient who was in the 80 percent grid, as indicated above. Depression can occur in these patients due to thyroid deficiencies, vitamin B12 and D3 deficiencies, hemoglobin deficiencies, and imbalance in some chemicals and stimulants in the brain such as serotonin. Some peculiar patients also suffer from anxiety and depression due to heredity. During the above-mentioned examination, I asked Mr. Sushant Singh Rajput if he had suicidal thoughts, to which he answered no ” .
The 34-year-old actor received medication to help reduce depression and restlessness.
“After that, on the morning of (November 29), during my normal visit to the Hinduja Health Hospital, Mr. Sushant Singh Rajput asked me if he could smoke. I had rejected that demand. After that, I visited regularly. Sushant Singh Rajput in hospital “.
Sushant Singh Rajput left the hospital in three days, the doctor said.
After that, on the date 11/30/2019, around 12:00 pm, Sushant Singh Rajput expressed a strong wish to the hospital staff to discharge him to return home.
After arguing with the staff, as he was recovering and had promised to take all the medications on time, he was discharged at his wish. During his discharge from the hospital, Sushant Singh Rajput was accompanied by his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, “the doctor told Mumbai police.
It was in mid-January that Rhea Chakraborty asked the doctor if Sushant Singh Rajput could be hospitalized again because he was “under severe depression”. The doctor said that he could refer them to another expert while traveling, but Rhea Chakraborty told him that Sushant did not want to be admitted and wanted to visit his sister in Chandigarh.
