Five CBI teams are currently in the city investigating the case and have questioned multiple witnesses including Sushant’s building guard, the cook, roommate Siddarth Pithani, Sandeep Ssingh and Rhea Chakraborty. While the CBI has collected forensic evidence from the scene, it did connect to the AIIMS forensic panel that investigated the autopsy report submitted by Mumbai police on the deceased actor. Last week, the head of AIIMS forensic department, Professor Dr. Sudhir Gupta, did not rule out the possibility of murder, stating that “the opinion of the Medical Board will be given to the CBI next week.”
