Suryakumar Yadav found himself on the wrong side of the internet recently after the Mumbai Indians’ star hitter allegedly “liked” a fan-made meme-tweet that praised IM captain Rohit Sharma while indirectly calling out Virat. Kohli a paper captain.
Yadav was quick to undo the “liking” part, but it was too late. Twitterati captured Yadav’s apparent gaffe and trolled the cricketer mercilessly. By sharing the screenshot of the incident, many reminded the talented player of the Australia tour snub and that “actions” like these would prevent him from facing the XI team played by Team India.
While Yadav paid no attention to online trolling, the MI hitter responded to a video tweeted by Virat Kohli prior to the Australian series. The 20-second video shared Tuesday by the Indian captain showed Kohli honing his skills against fast pitchers and spinners.
“I love test cricket practice sessions,” Kohli titled the video.

Responding to the video, Yadav wrote: “Energy 🔥 Sound 🔥 can’t wait to see Domination 🔥 # theBrand.”
Was Yadav trying to ease the situation? Kohli’s fans believed it and the trolling continued.
It is not necessary to go the way of KL Rahul to flatter Surya. You are much better off without it.

However, there were many fans who backed Kumar.
We will see you soon in the Indian Team. Surya is a staunch fan of Virat Kohli and has always considered him her idol. In the flow of the game, Kohli stared at SKY (not sure if he was sledding); but SKY was also brave enough not to be intimidated by him. I like that. 🔥

Previously, Kumar had made the headlines with his impressive hitting display in the recently concluded 2020 IPL season. With impressive strokes one after another, the cricket fans were on Yadav’s side as the MI hitter stood with a blank expression on his face looking at RCB’s Kohli. Both players kept looking at each other before Yadav walked away.
