Cricketer Suresh Raina, singer Guru Randhawa, interior designer Sussanne Khan and a couple of other celebrities were booked during a raid on the Dragon Fly club near Mumbai airport.
The defendants were booked for violating Covid rules. The police action came after the Maharashtra government declared a night curfew in municipal corporate areas on Monday.

Mumbai police said 34 people, including cricketer Suresh Raina and others, were booked under Section 188 (Disobedience to order duly promulgated by a public official), 269 (whoever illegally or negligently performs any act whatsoever , and who know or have reason to believe that they are, susceptible to spreading the infection of any life-threatening disease), 34 (Acts performed by several people in compliance with a common intention) of the IPC and NMDA provisions.
Mumbai police raided the club located in Andheri in the early morning of December 22 at around 2.30am. The club was found to have breached COVID-19 restrictions.
Before New Years week, the Maharashtra government has already announced a series of restrictions on public activity from December 22 to January 5.
