NEW DELHI: The Minister of State of the Union of Railways and BJP deputy of Karnataka, Suresh Angadi, passed away on Wednesday. He was being treated at AIIMS, Delhi for Covid-19.

President Ram Nath Kovind expressed his dismay at Angadi’s death, saying that he was a kind leader who worked tirelessly for the people of his constituency.

Several other politicians who crossed party lines took to social media to express their condolences for Angadi’s death.
Former Prime Minister and JD (S) Director HD Deve Gowda expressed sadness over the disappearance and tweeted that Angadi he was like a “little brother”.

The leader of Congress, Jairam Ramesh, also mourned Angadi’s death, saying it hurt him to hear the news.

BJP President JP Nadda said he was saddened by the death of the Union minister. Nadda said that Angadi was an extraordinary leader who dedicated his entire life to the organization and went on to serve society with the utmost diligence and compassion.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that Angadi was like his brother. The BJP leader said words fell short to describe Angadi’s commitment and dedication to the people.
