Surat: To mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 70th birthday on Thursday, Breadliner, a bakery in Gujarat’s Surat made a 71-foot-long cake weighing 771 kilograms, with the theme of ‘crown warriors’ and is ready to distribute to children.
As part of the celebration, the bakery will also host a digital event where parts of the cake will be sold at various bakery outlets and the cake cutting ceremony will be held digitally.
For the past three years, Breadliner Bakery has celebrated Narendra Modi’s birthday in conjunction with a social awareness program, said Nitin Patel, the event organizer. This year, the cake has been labeled ‘Cake for the Crown Warriors’ in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
“The cake-cutting ceremony on PM’s birthday was carried out maintaining social distancing and all necessary precautions. Seven crown warriors were also present at the event. The cake has images of crown warriors, be they media, police , plasma donors and doctors to ensure social distancing, we will also organize a digital event, ”said Patel.
“First, we will distribute this cake to the children and then the rest of the cake will be divided into units of 500 grams each and will be available in all bakeries from Vapi to Vadodara for people to cut from home while they are connected to us digitally.” . “she added.
Present at the event were seven crown warriors, including doctors and police, who cut the cake to celebrate Prime Minister Modi’s birthday.
“The crown warriors cut the digital cake Namo weighing 711 kilograms to send the message that we will win the crown and overcome all the challenges that come our way,” said Ashmita Shiroya, former mayor of Surat.
Those present on the occasion had maintained the social distancing and other necessary health protocols in the midst of COVID-19.
