‘Support Historic Movement’: AAP Leader Raghav Chadha Establishes Free WiFi at Singhu Border for Farmers

Aam Aadmi Party leader Raghav Chadha installed free WiFi hotspots at the Singhu border on Wednesday to help protesting farmers who had been camping there for more than a month protesting the three controversial farm laws.

The decision was made by “farmers sevadar Arvind Kejriwal,” Chadha had said on Tuesday when the party announced the move.

After installing the WiFi at the protest site, Chadha said: “CM Arvind Kejriwal has always maintained that we must fight for farmers until our last breath. We must support them in their historic movement ”.

The AAP leader added that they had contacted farmers for comment on areas in Singhu with poor mobile reception. “Based on their input, CM Arvind Kejriwal has installed WiFi access points. Each hotspot will cover an area of more than 31,000 square meters, ”said Chadha.

“We want the farmers to stay in touch with their family. We have identified some places to install the WiFi access points. This is an initiative of (Chief Minister) Arvind Kejriwal and the party, ”said Chadha.

The party has also stated that they are not only ready to install as many WiFi access points as farmers require, but if similar demands arise from Tikri and other borders, they will also install free WiFi access points there.

AAP’s move to help farmers comes as Union ministers Narendra Singh Tomar, Piyush Goyal and Som Prakash began the sixth round of talks with 40 farmer leaders on Wednesday amid their protests against the three farm laws.
