Sunrisers Hyderabad hit the Mumbai Indians by 10 wickets on Tuesday to break into the Indian Premier League playoffs. However, while the victory ensured the Hyderabad team earned a playoff spot, it also eliminated the Kolkata Knight Riders from the tournament. As a result, there were many reactions about the expulsion of the Kolkata team from the tournament.
The Mumbai Indians weren’t playing a full-strength squad and Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult and Hardik Pandya all rested before Thursday’s Qualifier. However, with a victory necessary to qualify, Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner and Wriddhiman Saha ensured that the team chased a total of 150 at a gallop without missing a single wicket.
