Actor and politician Sunny Deol tested positive for Covid-19. On Wednesday morning, he took to Twitter to share the diagnosis with his followers.
“I took the coronavirus test and the result was positive. I am isolated and I feel good. I request that everyone who has been in contact with me recently isolate themselves and get tested, ”he wrote in a tweet. Earlier Tuesday, the Himachal Pradesh health secretary had shared that Sunny had tested positive.
Sunny is a BJP MP from Gurdaspur and had stayed in Kullu district for a few days. The health secretary told PTI that according to information received from the district medical director, the MP and his friends planned to leave for Mumbai, but their Covid-19 test result came back positive on Tuesday.

The 64-year-old actor had undergone shoulder surgery in Mumbai and was recovering on a farm near Manali in the Kullu district.
Sunny will soon appear in the sequel to Apne. He will star in the film with his father Dharmendra, his brother Bobby Deol and his son Karan Deol. The film, which was officially announced by Dharmendra on Sunday, will have a theatrical release on Diwali 2021.
Sunny shared the update on Twitter and said that she is looking forward to working on the film. “With Babaji’s blessings and your love, we will all be seen together again. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to work with my father, brother again this time with my son. # Apne2, in Diwali 2021 theaters, “said the actor.
Apne 2 will be directed by Anil Sharma, who also directed the 2007 hit drama, and will be produced by Deepak Mukut. Karan, who made her debut with her father’s director Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas in 2019, said that Apne 2 will be special as she is collaborating with her family. “On the auspicious #GuruNanak Jayanti day, excited to announce # Apne2!
