On Sunday, parts of the national capital received showers along with gusty winds and a sudden dust storm. This was a relief after days of hot weather in Delhi.
The Indian Department of Meteorology today forecast rainy thunderstorm for the national capital. According to the Met department, the temperature in Delhi is forecast to range from 38 degrees Celsius (maximum) to 27 degrees Celsius (minimum) on Sunday.
On Saturday, Delhi recorded the maximum temperature of 40.9 degrees Celsius, according to the IMD.

The Met department forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, hail, and gusty winds (30-40 km / h) in isolated locations in parts of northwestern India.
The IMD in its climate summary and forecast bulletin predicted isolated rains / scattered rains, due to western disturbance, over the western Himalayas region and the plains of northwestern India, mainly between May 10-13, with peak activities on May 10.
“The western disturbance is likely to move further northeast and interact with low-level circulation and easterly winds over northwest India, causing increased moisture incursion into the region,” the report reads. IMD newsletter.
Northeast India and southern states are also forecast to receive rains in the coming days.
“The convergence of humid southwesterly winds at the lower levels aided by a favorable upper level wind pattern is likely to cause scattered to fairly widespread rains / showers over northeast India,” the IMD said.
Heavy rains are also likely to occur in isolated locations over West Bengal and Sikkim and in the adjacent northeast states.
