New Delhi:
After Katihar MLA was elected on Sunday as the leader of the BJP in the Bihar assembly, Union Minister Giriraj Singh posted a tweet for Sushil Kumar Modi, who was the leader of the party’s legislative party in the state before the assembly elections just concluded.
“Respected Sushil Hee, you are the leader, you held the position of Senior Deputy Minister, you will continue to be the leader of the BJP in the future as well, nobody’s status is determined by the position you hold, “Singh tweeted in Hindi.
He was responding to a tweet posted by Modi, who served as a deputy minister in Nitish Kumar’s last cabinet.
“Both the BJP and the Sangh Parivar gave me so much in the political life of 40 years that perhaps someone else has not received it. I will fulfill the responsibility that will be given to me. No one can take the worker’s job,” Sushil Kumar Modi tweeted.
Katihar MLA Tarkishore Prasad was unanimously elected as the leader of the BJP party in Bihar.
Earlier in the day, an NDA meeting was held where Nitish Kumar was named leader, paving the way for his return as prime minister for the fourth consecutive term.
The NDA secured a majority in the recently concluded elections to the Bihar Assembly of 243 members by winning 125 seats.
The head of Janata Dal (United), Nitish Kumar, met with the Governor of Bihar, Phagu Chauhan, to demand the formation of the NDA government. Subsequently, he announced that the swearing-in ceremony of the new cabinet will take place on Monday.
“The swearing-in ceremony will take place tomorrow afternoon around 4.30 pm,” Kumar said.
