The State Bank of India (SBI) has opened its hiring process as a holiday bonanza for its prospective bankers. The public sector bank will hire staff in the position of probationary officer (PO). The application process will begin on November 14, Diwali. Candidates can complete applications no later than December 4. Online Preliminary Exams will take place over four days at various sites starting December 31. The last day of the exam falls on January 5.
The latest SBI recruitment drive will fill 2,000 positions. 200 seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the EWS or Weakest Economic Section of the society. There will be three rounds of selections, the preliminary round, the main round and the final round of interviews. Candidates can also opt for pre-exam training.
OSE PO 2020 Recruitment: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the position must have a minimum graduation qualification. Those applying for the last semester of the bachelor’s program can also apply, but must present proof of their exam on or before December 31 so that candidates whose results or exams are pending due to a pandemic can apply.
Candidates by age must be at least 21 years old and not older than 30 as of April 4, 2020. There is an age relaxation for reserved category candidates.
The maximum number of opportunities for general candidates is four. Candidates in the EWS and OBC categories have 7 opportunities and there are no restrictions for SC / ST candidates.
SBI 2020 PO Recruitment: Exam Pattern
For the preliminaries, candidates will be accessed in English language, numerical ability and reasoning ability. Sectional cuts have been removed. The online exam will last one hour and will add a total of 100 points.
SBI PO 2020 Recruitment: Salary
According to the latest notice, the starting base salary for SBI probationary officers is Rs 27,620 with four increases in advance. Candidates are eligible for various benefits like DA, CCA, HRD. Candidates must also post a two-year bond with the bank.
