Public transport should start “gradually” in the fourth phase of the blockade. “Most people are in favor of the resumption of bus services, but with strict rules of social distancing,” added the Delhi Prime Minister. People also want the Delhi Metro to start operating with some restrictions.

Majority market associations want the Delhi government to open markets and market complexes during the fourth phase of the shutdown. They proposed that the state government follow “odd” rules for stores in market complexes. Shopping malls may also operate in the next phase of closure with a limited number of stores, people in Delhi urged the prime minister. There should be no relaxation in the containment areas.

Kejriwal said the state government will meet with the Lt. Delhi government tonight and give him a summary of the suggestions that will be sent to the center. The final decision will be made by the Center.

Delhi recorded almost 8,000 cases of coronavirus. The death toll rose to 106. Up to 2,858 people recovered from the disease. Kejriwal urged citizens to strictly adhere to the rules of social distancing. The masks are mandatory to prevent further spread of the virus. People should care for older people, pregnant women, and people with comorbidities, as they are more prone to COVID-19 infections.
