SSC CHSL 2020 Notice: The Personnel Selection Commission (SSC) released the official notice for the 2020 Upper Secondary Level Combined Examination on Friday. The SSC CHSL notice can be downloaded from the official website at ssc.nic.in. Interested and eligible individuals can apply online for the positions of Lower Division Clerk (LDC) / Junior Clerk Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant (PA) / Classification Assistant (SA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO) on December 15 or before.

Pay scale:

Lower Division Secretary (LDC) / Junior Secretary Assistant (JSA): Pay Level 2 (Rs. 19,900-63,200).

Postal Assistant (PA) / Classification Assistant (SA): Pay Level 4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100).

Data Entry Operator (DEO): Pay Level 4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100) and Level 5 (Rs. 29,200-92,300)

Data Entry Operator, Grade ‘A’: Pay Level 4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100).

Important dates:

Online application submission dates: November 6 – December 15

Last date and time of receipt of the online application: December 15 (23:30)

Last date and time to pay the fee online: December 17 (23:30)

Last date and time for offline Challan generation: December 19 (11:30 PM)

Last payment date through Challan (during Bank business hours): December 21

Computer Exam Program (Level I): April 12-27

Education Rating:

For LDC / JSA, PA / SA, DEO (except DEOs in C&AG): Candidates must have passed the 12th standard exam or equivalent from a recognized board or university.

For the data entry operator (DEO Grade ‘A’) in the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): 12th standard step in the branch of Science with Mathematics as a subject of a recognized Board or equivalent.

Application fee: 100 rupees.

Candidate women and men belonging to the programmed castes (SC), programmed tribes (ST), persons with disabilities (PwD) and ex-military (ESM) eligible for the reservation are exempt from paying the fee.

Selection process:

Candidates will be required to pass a computer-based test (level 1) followed by a descriptive document (level 2) and a skill test / typing test (level 3)

Age limit:

The age limit for positions is 18 to 27 years as of 01-01-2021, that is, candidates born not before 02-01-1994 and not after 01-01-2003 are eligible to apply.

Exam pattern for level 1

The exam will consist of four sections: English language, general intelligence, quantitative aptitude, and general awareness. Each section will have 25 questions with a total of 50 points. The exam will last 60 minutes.

The questions will be objective in nature. 0.5 points will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

The Level 2 paper will be a 100 mark descriptive document in “Paper and Pencil” mode. The duration of the Descriptive Work will be one hour. Minimum qualifications at Level II would be 33 percent
