Chasing 159, RR takes a big hit in the second round when Khaleel Ahmed throws Ben Stokes. Earlier, Manish Pandey hit a fifty and Kane Williamson, Priyam Garg had some big hits in the final two overs when SunRisers Hyderabad finished 158/4. After SRH won the toss and chose to hit, Jofra Archer and Shreyas Gopal held good areas in the Powerplay as David Warner and Jonny Baitstow only got a limit in the first four overs. Kartik Tyagi reaped the rewards for Archer and Gopal’s work when he managed to trap Bairstow in the depths in the middle of the wicket by Sanju Samson. Warner and Manish Pandey attempted to rebuild while SRH looked up. However, Rajasthan pitched extremely well to prevent the two hitters from clearing the ropes as much as they would have liked and as a result, Warner was pitched by Archer for 48. (LIVE SCORE)

    SHUTTER! Jos Buttler c Bairstow b Khaleel 16 (13)

A beautiful swinger from Khaleel gets the best of Buttler.

This is a disaster for RR. They have lost their top three within the first four overs.

  • 17:48 (IST)

SHUTTER! Steve Smith runs out of (Natarajan) 5 (6)

Another wicket! And it runs out. Would you believe it

Smith takes a chance on a quick brace and dies in the process.

Buttler and Smith took a single as the Englishman hit the ball to the deep half of the field, but the second was not simply fired.

Smith stayed a long way from his crease at the end of the non-forward as the pitch came flat and hard just over the stumps.

  • 17:44 (IST)

    FOUR! SIX!

Shooting! That was like a tracer bullet!

Natarajan throws a gorilla and Buttler quickly swings back and fiercely throws it through the middle of the gate for four.

The bowler comes up short again and the outside leg stump on the next ball and Buttler hammers it for a flat six on the square leg.

  • 17:40 (IST)

SRH keep it set on the Powerplay

Learning from his opponents, SRH has also played well on Powerplay.

They have kept Buttler and Smith calm by bowling in their fields.

  • 17:32 (IST)

    SHUTTER! Stokes b Khaleel 5 (6)

    BIG MILLION!

Khaleel Ahmed is staying with Ben Stokes!

This was a ball of good length on the outside. Stokes looks to play across the line and hit to the side, but he gets an inside edge on his stumps.

Sandeep Sharma will launch the first.

  • 17:10 (IST)

    SRH 158/4 in 20 overs

Garg tries to run a lock on the last ball, but only gets one. He runs out of 15 of 8 when SRH finishes 158/4 in his 20 overs.

This seems like a sub par score, but hitting second has been tough this IPL season.

    Stay tuned for Rajasthan’s response.

  • 17:09 (IST)

    FOUR!

Unadkat throws a slower short ball and Garg plays it beautifully over the head of the short, thin leg.

Despite Riyan Parag pushing himself to the limit, the ball escapes for four.

  • 17:05 (IST)

    SIX!

Garg takes a big hit when he smashes a slower Unadkat for a six over the middle of the wicket to start the final well.

    150 for SRH!

  • 17:04 (IST)

    SIX!

Only a single came from the free throw, but Williamson finished the ball well by getting a short ball from Archer on the square leg for a six.

SRH is 142/3 in 19 overs. Can they reach 160?

  • 17:00 (IST)

    SIX!

Williamson opens in the last two overs. He makes room and throws a one-handed shot directly over the pitcher’s head for six.

It’s Archer that Williamson has hit and that’s an accomplishment given how good Archer has been today.

Also, the next ball is a beamer, an Archer no-ball. Free Hit is coming.

  • 16:56 (IST)

    SHUTTER! Manish c Tewatia b Unadkat 54 (44)

A slower ball from Unadkat beats Manish.

Manish makes room and hits this long but doesn’t get the power to clear the strings.

Tewatia makes a single long-term catch when Manish leaves after hitting 50.

  • 16:51 (IST)

    50 for Manish Pandey!

A half century of IPL 17 for Manish Pandey. He has been the most fluid of all SRH hitters today and will be looking to stay until the end and finish the innings.

  • 16:49 (IST)

    FOUR!

Tyagi goes for the yorker, but ends up throwing a low, full pitch even as Manish comes out of his crease and throws it through the square leg for four.

  • 4:43 PM (IST)

    SIX!

Manish wants to go big now.

He goes down the window and smokes it absolutely wide and wide for a big six.

This has landed on the second level.

  • 16:42 (IST)

    FOUR!

Short and inside the body by Tewatia as Manish takes room outside the stump of his leg and hits him in the middle of the wicket.

Tyagi jumps into the air on the fence in the middle of the wicket, but the ball just evades and lands just inside the rope and bounces for four.

    100 for SRH!

  • 16:38 (IST)

    SHUTTER! Warner b Archer 48 (38)

Archer returns for his second spell and gets Warner’s great wicket.

Warner gives himself room to hit through the ball line, but completely misses.

Its stumps break and Rajasthan has its second wicket.

  • 16:32 (IST)

    SIX!

Manish rolls down the window at Gopal, reaches the field of the ball and hits it for six seconds.

    That will break the shackles.

  • 16:29 (IST)

    Excellent Rajasthan Bowling

The RR bowlers are throwing into their field. Both Warner and Manish have been looking to get the big shots going, but there are outfielders strategically placed to keep them from hitting the limits.

Unadkat keeps the ball out of reach of batters, forcing them to search for it from the outside and play on the other side of the line.

  • 16:25 (IST)

Little less than Archer; Warner survives!

Tewatia steps up to launch her third lap.

Warner tries to press the switch but can’t get the correct connection. The ball grabs the top edge and flies into the short square leg even as Archer, parked on a short fine, runs in.

The ball lands near the fielder and Warner survives.

  • 16:18 (IST)

    SIX!

Tyagi returns to cast his second spell and Warner lines up the young bowler.

The southpaw slaps one at the length of six to get things rolling while SRH scores nine runs on the first three balls of the change.

  • 16:12 (IST)

    FOUR! 50 for SRH!

A little short and wide stump from Stokes and Warner makes room before slapping him for four.

50 is available to SRH on the ninth.

  • 16:09 (IST)

    Ben Stokes on the attack!

One of RR’s most valuable players has returned to cricket after a long gap. Let’s see how he does with the ball first.

  • 16:04 (IST)

    SIX!

Gopal shoots one and it’s right in the slot. Warner clears his front leg and crushes it for six.

Warner needs to hit at a fast pace to help SRH get a competitive score.

  • 16:01 (IST)

    FOUR!

Warner brings out the opposite. This was Tewatia’s googly, but Warner had read it from the bowler’s hand.

It opens into a crab-like position and reversing sweeps it through the third man for four.

  • 16:00 (IST)

    SIX!

Manish Pandey tries to fight back.

He comes dancing down the track and hits a Rahul Tewatia one over the bowler’s head for a six.

But these are only the second six innings and we are in the seventh.

  • 15:59 (IST)

    Powerplay belongs to Rajasthan

SRH finished 1/26 at the end of six overs. This with Warner and Bairstow as his first two. This is a brilliant start for Rajasthan.

  • 15:51 (IST)

    SHUTTER! Bairstow c Samson b Tyagi 16 (19)

    OUTSIDE! Great window!

Taygi takes six hits, but comes back well to lead Bairstow on the next ball.

This ball is even shorter, forcing Bairstow to take a shot at a ball that got big for him.

He gets a top edge and the ball flies into the middle of the deep wicket where Sanju Samsonm runs through the square leg and makes an excellent dive catch inches into the rope.

  • 15:49 (IST)

    SIX!

Finally, Bairstow lands one in the middle of the bat and the ball flies over the wide, long fence for six.

A bit short in length by Kartik Tyagi and Bairsto picks it up and places it on the corner of the cow.

  • 15:45 (IST)

    FOUR!

Warner divides the space between the long leg and the square leg and slog sweeps this ball from Gopal for the first limit of the game.

3.2 overs are needed for SRH to get his first four.

  • 15:43 (IST)

Archer is turning up the heat!

A 147.7km / h goalie from Bairstow sees the batter swinging hastily off the ball line as Archer hits another nasty lap.

This has been a good, aggressive bowling on the pacer’s part, as Warner and Bairstow failed to get any kind of momentum on the Powerplay.

  • 15:39 (IST)

Good start with the Rajasthan ball

    Spin from the other end.

It’s Shreyas Gopal from the other end with her spinning legs and googlies.

Only three runs at the end. This is a good start for RR with the ball.

  • 15:34 (IST)

A good first time from Archer

Warner taps one into short cover and runs to a single.

The SRHs are out of place even as Archer throws scarves after sniffs, all over 140 km / h on the first lap.

Bairstow receives a bad short ball that guides the thin leg out of the mark.

  • 15:30 (IST)

We are ready for live action

    Jofra Archer will launch first.

David Warner will go on strike.

    Here we go!
