Chennai Super Kings (CSK) got back on the winning track by clinching a comfortable 20-run win over SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL) match on Tuesday at Dubai International Stadium. CSK posted a competitive total of 167 for six. Chasing 168 for victory, despite a valiant half-century from Kane Williamson, SRH fell 20 runs short of the target. On the 19th envelope of SRH innings, MS Dhoni’s spirited reaction from behind the stumps led referee Paul Reiffel to change his decision midway.
Shardul Thakur had thrown a wide yorker at Rashid Khan and the referee looked like he was about to stretch his arms to signal a wide, but then a spirited reaction from the former India captain caused Reiffel to change his mind and stop the decision midway on the way.
SRH captain David Warner, sitting in the shelter, did not seem very satisfied with the final decision.
