Samajwadi Party (SP) Chairman Akhilesh Yadav revealed on Saturday (November 14) his party’s strategy for the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, saying the SP would not seal an alliance with any major party to the crucial choice. Akhilesh’s announcement sends a message that the SP is unwilling to enter into an alliance with the Congress with which it fought in the 2017 Assembly elections.
Speaking on the occasion of Diwali, Akhilesh Yadav said: “First of all, I would like to wish everyone a very happy Diwali. There have been many important people who have joined the party recently in Lucknow and today also in Etawah. However, the region has been ignored by the current BJP government, which has just laid a black stone in the name of development in Etawah ”.
“The Samajwadi Party will try to reach an understanding with the smaller political parties, but not alliances with the big political parties. I have said it many times before too and today I say it again, the Pragatisheel Party will also adjust and Jaswantnagar has already been left for its leader and in times to come, we will also give him a place in the cabinet, “he added.

It should be recalled that a few weeks ago, SP had withdrawn its request to disqualify the MLA Shivpal Yadav party from the UP Assembly. The move was seen as a step taken by the SP chief to mend ties with his estranged uncle. For his part, Shivpal Yadav had thanked his nephew Akhilesh for withdrawing the request for disqualification.
