South Africa announces tour of Pakistan in early 2021


Cricket South Africa confirmed that the men’s team will tour Pakistan in January 2021 for two events and three T20Is.

Karachi, Rawalpindi and Lahore will host South Africa between January 26 and February 14, 2021. The series marks the first time South Africa has toured Pakistan since 2007.

The Protea are scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on January 16 and will go into quarantine prior to training. They will play matches within the team before the first test begins in Karachi on January 26. The test series will be part of the ICC World Test Championship. All three T20Is will be played in Lahore and will be South Africa’s first T20I series in Pakistan.

Pakistan has hosted three other teams in recent times with Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe all touring the country.
