Sonia Gandhi formed a new advisory group for the party, making President of Manmohan Singh

New Delhi:

Today’s Congress formed an advisory group with former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as president to deliberate on “current concerns” and formulate party views and policies on important issues.

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi will be part of the group along with other leaders, while the party’s main spokesman, Randeep Surjewala, will be its convener.

“The President of Congress (Sonia Gandhi) has formed an advisory group with Manmohan Singh as its president. The advisory group will meet virtually, usually every day, to deliberate on issues of current interest and formulate party views on various issues. ” AICC Secretary General KC Venugopal statement said.

In addition to Mr. Venugopal, other members of the panel are former Finance Minister P Chidambaram and former Ministers Manish Tewari and Jairam Ramesh.

The other leaders of Congress, Praveen Chakravarty, Gaurav Vallabh and Supriya Shrinate, and the party’s head of social media, Rohan Gupta, are also on the panel.
