Six days before actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s alleged suicide at his home in Mumbai, he and his sister Priyanka had exchanged messages about anxiety and the latter had recommended some medications, according to investigations by the CBI and the Compliance Directorate.
Priyanka, who is a lawyer for the Supreme Court, also got a prescription in Delhi when the actor pointed out that those drugs could not be obtained without the advice of a doctor.
The prescription, dated June 8, was given by cardiologist Dr. Tarun Kumar of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi and bears his signature and stamp. It is known that the Rajput was in Mumbai on June 8, which is also the date that his fellow actor Rhea Chakraborty, faced a instigation to suicide on his death, he moved out of the Rajput home.
Rajput’s family have claimed that they were unaware of him suffering from any mental illness and have accused Chakraborty of giving him an overdose of drugs.
In his statement to the Mumbai police immediately after his death, Rajput’s father, KK Singh, said that his son often felt depressed, but did not know if he was depressed.

August 3 The Indian Express had informed that days before his death, Rajput had Googled his name and information on mental illness.
“This does not contradict our story in any way,” said the family’s lawyer, Vikas Singh. The Indian Express. “The family did not know that he had psychiatric problems. Yes, she had informed the family about the anxiety and her sister was self-medicating. As there was a closure, she got a prescription from Delhi, ”she said.
Dr. Tarun Kumar did not respond to multiple attempts to contact him. RML Hospital AK Rana Medical Superintendent said: “I have not heard about the matter so I cannot comment.”
According to the talks between Rajput and Priyanka, she asked the actor to take one drug for a week and then start another. Priyanka also asked the Rajput to keep a particular drug “on hand when there is an anxiety attack.”
The actor responded by saying that no one would give these drugs without a prescription. To this, Priyanka said, “Let me see if I can manage,” followed by a missed voice call and a message asking Rajput to call so that he can have a prescription.
A message from Priyanka after this said, “My friend is a reputable doctor who can connect you with the best doctor in Mumbai confidentially … so don’t worry.”
Most of this conversation took place early on June 8, between 4.30am and 5.30am. At around 7am, Priyanka sent a scanned copy of the RML Hospital prescription followed by a message saying that even though the prescription was from Delhi, it wouldn’t matter and she could tell that she had done an online consultation.
While Chakraborty’s attorney, Satish Maneshinde, was unavailable for comment, he said India today previously the Rajput family was aware of his medical condition.

The Rajput family has also accused Chakraborty of having diverted money from Rajput, for a sum of 15 million rupees. Investigations by the CBI and ED have so far found no substance to this accusation, first mentioned in an FIR registered by the Bihar Police in a complaint by Rajput’s father. The police case has now been turned over to the CBI.
According to KK Singh’s complaint, under a “well thought out conspiracy”, Chakraborty entered Rajput’s life to advance his career and first forced him to leave his home saying “I was haunted”. Singh claimed that “this had affected my son’s mental condition.”
He alleged in the FIR that he suspected that all the doctors Chakraborty brought Rajput to were involved in the conspiracy. He also asked if the Rajput had mental problems, why were family members not consulted before starting their treatment. Singh also claimed that before Chakraborty entered Rajput life, there had been no complaints of mental illness. “So what happened so suddenly that you developed a mental problem? This should be investigated. “
