Simon Doull, a former New Zealand cricketer and popular commentator, praised Shubman Gill’s maturity in his coup against Sunrisers Hyderabad for Kolkata Knight Riders, and predicted that the young man will be an IPL captain soon.

“It was a perfect score for Shubman to enter this tournament. He didn’t score much in the first game. I needed a score to get started and when you’re chasing just 143, you can play your natural game.
