A special Shramik train carrying 1,208 migrant workers from Chhattisgarh, who were stranded in Gujarat due to the closure, will arrive in the Bilaspur district on Monday.
District officials said the arriving migrant workers will be sent by bus to their villages and districts, where they will be held in quarantine centers.
“This will be the first train that will transport migrant workers and others from Chhattisgarh to their places of origin. The train will arrive at 10 a.m. ”Said a government press release.

“At least 60 buses and ambulances have been organized for migrants. The district administration has ordered to close all shops and other commercial activities around the railway stations as a precautionary measure in view of the arrival of the migrants, “he said.
He added that the administration has also made arrangements for the health check-up of these migrants. After the train arrives at the station, passengers will receive hand sanitizer and mask before disembarking.
A team from the health department will be posted at each door of the railway station for your medical examination and detection.

Bilaspur collector Sanjay Alang reviewed the preparations for the train’s arrival on Sunday and also gave the necessary directions.
