Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan prayed on Sunday for the good health of Union Interior Minister Amit Shah, who was reportedly admitted to AIIMS, New Delhi on Saturday night.
“I just received the news about poor health from the Union Interior Minister Amit Shah. I pray to God for his good health,” Chouhan tweeted in Hindi.
Union Interior Minister Amit Shah was re-admitted to AIIMS (Delhi), almost two weeks after being discharged from the hospital. “According to the discharged council, he has now been admitted for a full medical check-up before the parliament session for 1-2 days,” AIIMS Delhi said in a statement.
Previously, he was admitted to the hospital on August 18 for post-Covid care.
On August 2, the 55-year-old man took to Twitter to announce that he had tested positive for the new coronavirus. He had undergone treatment for the coronavirus infection at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram and was discharged after testing negative for the disease on August 14.
He entered AIIMS on August 18 after complaining of “fatigue and body aches.” He left the hospital after 13 days on August 31 after doctors said the interior minister had “recovered.”
“Amit Shah, Union Interior Minister, is admitted to AIIMS, New Delhi, for post-COVID care. He has recovered and is likely to be discharged shortly,” AIIMS said in a statement on 30 of August.
